In recent years, wind energy in Brazil and other renewables have positioned it as one of the most innovative countries in terms of renewable energies. According to an IRENA report, it continues to be among the 10 most important countries in the world, behind China and Germany, among others.<\/p>\n

Within this same report we can find that it is currently estimated that employment in the country’s wind energy area is around 40,200 people, mainly in construction, followed by operations and maintenance. These advances in the sector also provide great possibilities for opening doors to better opportunities for highly trained professionals<\/a> throughout the country, especially in the four Brazilian states with the largest presence of renewable energy institutions: Minas Gerais, S\u00e3o Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Gross.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the increase in the number of jobs that this sector has fostered may be fundamental not only for the environment but also for the country’s post-pandemic economic recovery. Because Brazil is the only country in Latin America that has managed to position itself among the competitors in renewable energy worldwide with more than 5%, 1.2 million jobs are estimated in the coming years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The country’s advances in the wind energy sector present a bright future, so much so that the World Wind Organization and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWO and GWEC, 2021) estimate that the wind capacity expected to be added from 2021 By 2025, it will require 480,000 trained workers, not only in the technical area, but also in construction, installation, operations and maintenance that will guarantee quality work and promote the advancement of this and the rest of renewable energies.<\/span><\/p>\n
